4G é a sigla para a Quarta Geração (em inglês: Fourth Generation) de telefonia móvel. O 4G está baseada totalmente em IP, sendo um sistema e uma rede, alcançando a convergência entre as redes de cabo e sem fio e computadores, dispositivos eletrônicos e tecnologias da informação para prover velocidades de acesso entre 100 Megabit/s em movimento e 1 Gigabit/s em repouso, mantendo uma qualidade de serviço (QoS) de ponta a ponta (ponto-a-ponto) de alta segurança para permitir oferecer serviços de qualquer tipo, regularmente e independentemente da localização.

Feature phone

Telefone básico inteligente (do inglês: smart feature phone) é tipo de aparelho de telefonia móvel (celular) hibrido de "feature phone" e "smartphone", que mantém características das gerações anteriores (como teclado com botões e um pequeno display sem sensibilidade ao toque) mas com a adição de algumas funções smart (além da chamada de voz e enviar mensagem de texto) como acesso a uma loja de aplicativos rudimentar, serviços de GPS, player multimídia e, acesso à internet banda larga móvel (4G e Wi-Fi), integrado a um sistema operacional com uma simples interface de usuário (ao contrário de sistemas complexos, como o Google Android e Apple iOS).
